A Comedey of Errers
An accidental project that began while I was printing from old wooden typefaces in traditional letterpress studios. The alphabets were often incomplete, so I had to leave letters out or otherwise fudge the words a bit. What felt frustrating soon made me playful. My parents were both English teachers, keen on correct spelling, grammar and punctuation. My kids have to spend painful hours ploughing through “spag” homework. It feels like a relief to unlearn the rules and mess around a bit. As one of the posters below reminds us, “their are more outragous misstakes than mispelling somthing”.
